Emerging technologies on Audi Q3 (element 2)

(Continued from : Emerging technologies on Audi Q3)
Besides the developing basic systems on the car as the engine or gearbox, car Audi Q3 is also equipped the energy-saving technologies as well as advanced safety features for the user.

In order to the cars become more environmentally friendly, Audi fitted on Q3 technology automatically turns off the engine "Start / Stop" and "recharge when braking".

Technology automatically shut off the engine "Start / Stop": When in traffic in the big city traffic as well as to stop when the red light is not only a useless fuel consumption but also pollute work environment because when the engine is at low speed will not combustion and fuel while emitting generate toxic carbon monoxide. With the system "Start / Stop" engine will automatically shut off when the car stops and instantly restarts when the driver step on the accelerator or clutch. This technology allows fuel savings Q3 0.2 L / 100km.
4.Safety Technology

Regenerative braking technology : during braking, the energy will be converted into thermal energy and heat the brake pads and brake disc (or drum brake) is not only useless, but also affect the quality of work of the system brakes. To save energy, the Q3 uses regenerative braking technology, whereby the vehicle downhill or drive brake pedal will increase the voltage of the generator should be above the normal level, so current will be brought back to recharge the batteries. When the car accelerates again, this energy will be used to reduce the load from the engine to the generator so that a 3% reduction in fuel consumption.

Besides the airbags became standard for cars produced in the European market, the Audi Q3 retrofitted on electronic balance system ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), reversing sensors, sensorlight and rain sensors.
Electronic balance system ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) on Q3 is a combination of systems: antilock braking wheel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD brake force distribution system (Electronic brakeforce distribution), traction control system ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) and the electronic differential lock EDL (Electronic differential lock) to help stabilize and balance the car in all conditions. (can refer to the ESP system on the issue of Autonet 52).
Reversing sensor is mounted in the rear bumper of the car that shows the driver that the distance between of vehicle and the obstacle when backward while the light sensor and rain sensor system helps headlights and rain lever can operateoperating automatically when the sensor determines brightness outdoor unsatisfactory and rainy outside. So that the operation of the car more convenient and safer.
